 St. John Lutheran Church (Bingen), across from the Wyneken campus. It has been a part of the Decatur community for over 150 years, even pre-dating its own church body, The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod. St. John also founded a northern sister congregation, now St. John Lutheran Church (Flatrock) in Monroeville. 
It also maintained St. John Lutheran School until 1969, when Zion Lutheran Church (Friedheim) and St. Paul Lutheran Church in Preble became partners in founding Wyneken Memorial Lutheran School.
