Wyneken virtual tour site #3  The 1st/2nd grade (split class) modular classroom building

...The split class (grades 1 and 2) and the 5th grade modular classrooms.  Originally, the split class structure served as administrative offices for St. John Lutheran Church, and was located behind the church. It was moved behind the school, and became part of Wyneken after St. John completed construction of its Parish Hall addition in 1996.  In the 1996-97 school year, Wyneken used this as its band and choir room. Due to increasing enrollment and dwindling free space, this became a classroom after the split 1st/2nd grade was added in the 1997-98 school year. The split-class teacher is Miss Rebecca Klenke. In Summer 2001, it was moved for the final time to the southwest side of the school in preparation for our construction project. The 5th grade modular was purchased in 1998, as the school population grew larger and space grew smaller. It was originally placed in the middle of the old playground, near the lower grade wing. It was also moved south in Summer 2001. The 5th grade teacher is Mr. Richard Schwantz.
